Frequently asked questions
Short answers about Notizop, the free push notification platform for websites and Android apps.
Is Notizop free?
Yes. The free plan includes every feature: web and Android push, A/B tests, segments, automation, conversion tracking, team roles and the API. Paid plans only raise the limits on sites and apps, subscribers and team members.
What does the free plan include?
All features, for up to 2 websites or Android apps, 10,000 subscribers and 3 team members.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. You create an account with your name, email and a password.
Which browsers support Notizop web push?
Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera, Samsung Internet and Safari 16.4 and later. On iPhone and iPad, Safari shows web notifications for sites added to the Home Screen.
Do I need Firebase for website notifications?
No. Websites use standard Web Push with VAPID keys that Notizop creates for you, or Notizop’s own direct delivery. Firebase is only needed for Android apps.
How do I add push notifications to my website?
Create a free account, add your website, upload the notizop-sw.js service worker to your site root and paste one script tag before </head>. Visitors can then subscribe.
Does Notizop work with WordPress?
Yes. Upload notizop-sw.js to the WordPress root folder and add the Notizop script tag to your site header. Notizop can also push your recent WordPress posts on a schedule.
How do I add push notifications to my Android app?
Add the Notizop Android library, connect your Firebase project, and call Notizop.init with the App Key from your panel. The SDK registers the device and reports deliveries, opens and dismissals.
Can Notizop show notifications sent from the Firebase Console?
Yes. The Android SDK also displays messages you send from the Firebase Console or your own FCM server.
Can I track revenue from push notifications?
Yes. Track a purchase event with its value and Notizop credits it to the campaign the subscriber clicked, on every plan.
Can I send notifications automatically?
Yes. Notizop can push your recent WordPress, blog or RSS posts on a schedule, push every new YouTube video, and send a welcome message to every new subscriber.
Can my team use one account?
Yes. Invite colleagues and give each one a role: Admin, Finance, Operations, Editor, Composer, Viewer or Member.
Is there an API?
Yes. A public REST API lets your own systems send notifications, look up subscribers, read campaign stats and report events.
